LadyGaga has met with performer Lady Starlight during this time; after a performance at Lollapalooza Festival in 2007 Gaga was signed by Vince Herbert to Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. The album that Gaga released in 2008 The Fame received only a little media reception. Gaga went on tour throughout Europe and in the US to promote her album. But it was not until her 2009 smash "Just Dance" that a lot of attention was paid to her music. Gaga suffered a labral tear in her right hip. she had been nursing secretly for several weeks with the hoping that she'd be able to carry on the tour. After performing in Toronto the singer was unable walk without pain and was extremely uncomfortable. She was admitted to the hospital where her tour was cancelled.
